Hi, was just wondering if a photo drivers licence is recognisable and exceptable in N.Y for proof of age for entering bars/clubs etc, as i was worried about taking my passport with me!

You may need your passport to back up your out of country drivers license.
i always keep my passport with me when traveling, safer than trying to hide it in a hotel room, thieves know all the %26#39;secret%26#39; spots.

As stated, you will need your passport for ID and should always carry it with you. Make a copy of the main page and place the copy somewhere else in the unlikely chance that you lose your passport.
