NYC Bootleg Shopping Advice

Any advice on buying bootlegs from street vendors, and good places to find them ?

Advice? Don%26#39;t.

NYC Bootleg Shopping Advice

Please heed GWB%26#39;s advice - buying bootleg merch. puts people out of jobs.

Most of these items are of shabby construction and many of the mechanical stuff - watches etc. work for about 24 hours - got this from a colleague of my brothers, an NYPD consumer fraud cop.

Plus your guarantee runs out as soon as you hand over your money!

Do the right thing!!

China town

Don%26#39;t bother. Cheap knock-offs are in the news as worthless products. Plus it doesn%26#39;t take a rocket scientist to spot junk imitations.

Advice: don%26#39;t walk around vendors stalls asking, ';Pardon me, is this genuine or a fake, illegal knock off?';

I%26#39;m aware of the risks involved. Please only answer if you can help with the question at hand. Thanks !

I don%26#39;t know about the others, but I%26#39;m being perfectly sincere.

A couple of years back i use to head down to China Town for bags etc... It so right about those watches do not last at all and the handles come off the bags. After being locked in a small closet with one of the sellers,i thought enough is enough...i was so scared i do not buy at all now...

What bull.

I bought some great fakes near Little Italy last time.

She wants to know where to buy them. Which corner. Just tell us where.

I found people selling watches and purses on street corners around Times Square and Rockefeller Center...plus I%26#39;m sure many other places also. My daughters bought cuff watches for $5.oo each that were very cute with Burberry looking fabric on the cuffs in March. I warned them they may not last long, but when I went back to NYC in October, those watches were still running and I bought them more for Christmas! I didn%26#39;t buy the designer purses they were selling in Chinatown, tho, so don%26#39;t know about the quality of those.
