Hot-patootie, and bless my soul! We just came back from one of the most luscious, flavorful and well-mannered birthday meals ever!

Honestly, I%26#39;d happily go here again on my own. I%26#39;d say prices were what we in NYC call ';moderate';. The food and service were well worth the $3-$5 per dish more than I would normally expect to pay.

Since we had a large group, we received complimentary salmon tartare on little toasts. Already, we loved the place! Then we ordered a wide range of dishes, and everything I tasted and sampled was excellent.

I had sliced duck breast - which was nice and pink in the middle and juicy - with a soucatash of corn, figs, butternut squash, shallots and pecans. The shredded beet salad was also fresh and full of ';stuff';. I missed the goat cheese croquets, but heard they were amazing.

We all had different desserts - cheesecake with carmelized pecans, s%26#39;mores bread pudding, sorbet (lime/coconut/mango), gelato (chocoalte/vanilla/hazelnut), and a cheese platter with green apple and bread. They were all outstanding.
