Kid restaurants in NYC

We are visiting NYC on Friday. I am looking for suggestions for ';kid-friendly'; restaurants downtown. Last year we visited Mickey Mantles. I can%26#39;t say it was great, just good.

All thoughts appreciated.....

Just back from trip with 2 kids aged 6 +10,they loved Mars 2112- you go on a space ride up to the restaurant{Mars} and martians come to visit the table.Food is ok-usual fare. Also, try Ellens Stardust Diner across the road, burger joint but all the waiting staff take turns to sing.Bennigans on corner of 8th and 48th had the best food and was the friendliest to the kids.Avoid TGI Fridays on Broadway, had to go there 1 night as it was late and could nt get in anywhere else and it was grotty, food was cold, very expensive and the place was filthy.Enjoy your trip !
