Another shopping query

Going to be in NYC for five nights from Jan 24th. Having a debate with hubby as to whether a trip to the outlets is worthwhile. I%26#39;ve done a search on here and read the reviews of Woodbury v Jersey Gardens and still can%26#39;t decide.

I was in Woodbury in 2000 but it was a Christmas shopping trip so I wasn%26#39;t really looking for things for me. My main shopping problems are that I%26#39;m a US size 0/2 and take size 5 shoes. Sometimes outlets can be better for small sizes and sometimes a waste of time. Gap, Banana Republic and Nine West would be staple shops and these are in both outlets as well as downtown NYC. Any recent visitors with opinions as to whether it%26#39;s worth going out of town or if I should be okay given the old faithful downtown places.

I have the same measurements as you and I only shopped in Manhattan. I found that places like Barneys have lots of stuff in our sizes...its more expensive than the likes of Gap but with the sales it is possible to pick up a real bargain in brands like Juicy, True Religion etc.

As for shoes, size 5 is common here....you shouldn%26#39;t have a problem.

You lucky girl! If you were looking for high end designer stuff I%26#39;d say go to Woodbury. But since you%26#39;re looking for mid range stuff, I%26#39;d try the shops in Manhattan first. If you don%26#39;t find what you want, then try one of the malls out of town.

Some ideas for in NYC

%26gt;Ann Taylor is a chain that carries good small sizes (and Loft by Ann Taylor).

%26gt;J. Crew has nice casual things and also carries a lot of small sizes.

%26gt;DSW is a huge shoe store with a big size range.

%26gt;I%26#39;d also make a quick pass through the sale racks at Henri Bendel on Fifth Ave. It%26#39;s a small dept. store with great things and many in small sizes.

%26gt;Find Outlet on west 17 st.

We have junior sizes here (usually for teens) that run in odd numbers 3, 5, 7 etc. that might also work for you. You%26#39;ll find junior depts in most of the dept stores.

You will be fine staying in NYC. There is just about every major store and everything in between. Broadway%26#39;s shopping is amazing. You can find all the major stores, but there are always no name stores with cheaper cloths too.

I agree with your decision to stay in NYC. You have to consider the cost of the RT bus to Woodbury, it would be quite expensive for two people. You will be delighted with the many sales that will be in progress during your stay.
