Dessert near the Gershwin? Cab after the theater? Advice...

Hi all,

Just starting to work through some specific details for upcoming trip. Any recommendaions for a kid friendly place to have kid friendly desserts near the Gershwin--no creme brulee or cappucino cheesecake!!! Coming to NYC with dh, and dds 2 and 7. Will probably have early dinner with family then 7 yo and I have great seats to see ';Wicked.'; Thought we%26#39;d do dessert alone, make it a big mom and daughter night. Probably will do before show as she is usually in bed when the show begins--I guess I better force ger to nap that day!

Also, after the show, how hard will it be to get cab? When dh and I saw ';Wicked'; and ';Lion King'; last year we always caught sub back up to UWS but am unsure about doing that late at night alone with child. If sub is safe, would it be safe to walk alone from station to hotel(Blakely)?

Thanks for your advice!

Tessie

First, the Blakely is only a short walk 4 or so block walk from Wicked. No problem. Ellen%26#39;s Stardust Diner Broadway %26amp; 51 st) is right near the theater and would be a perfect place for dessert. I%26#39;m not sure you%26#39;ll have time for dinner AND dessert in a different place before the show, but maybe.

English is my first language, I promise. Still feeling the affects of NYE.;) The Blakely is about 4 blocks away from the Gershwin theater. Ellen%26#39;s Stardust is a half block I think from the theater.

Thanks, as always, for your quick replies!

By early dinner, with our toddler, I mean 4:30 or so(she is in bed asleep at 8)!!! So we%26#39;ll do dinner then, change, and head to Times Square for dessert and show. Will look into Ellen%26#39;s!

Thanks,Tessie
