Coming to New York at the end of April to celebrate my wife%26#39;s 40th birthday. Booked a hotel through Hotwire several months ago and got the Sheraton Manhattan. I haven%26#39;t seen any recent reviews on trip advisor for this hotel. Anyone stay there recently? Is it an okay hotel? The location seems very good (halfway between Central Park and Times Square). Any comments on this hotel would be greatly appreciated.

Plenty of reviews here including one from Dec 15. The location is terrific. It%26#39;s a big (convention type) hotel but there%26#39;s an indoor swimming pool.

I would contact the hotel in advance and tell them you%26#39;re celebrating a special birthday. I%26#39;d also join (for free online) their frequent guest program before the trip and show your card on check-in. You may get some freebies or an upgrade. IF you%26#39;re not satisfied with the room you%26#39;re shown, ask for another. It%26#39;s a big place and the sizes etc. can be very different.
