We hope to go to a comedy club while we%26#39;re in NY but I%26#39;m not sure about the entrance fee.
the websites say things like sunday-thursday 10dollar cover plus 2 item minimum.
Does this mean that you have to pay 10 dollars to get in and then have to buy at least 2 drinks?
How do they know if you%26#39;ve bought two drinks or not? is it all waitress service?

It%26#39;s not a daft question and you%26#39;re not the first to ask it. Yes, the cover is equivalent to an entrance fee but it usually appears on your drink/food check rather than being collected at the door. A 2 drink minimum is usually the language and yes, it%26#39;s waitress service so they keep track. The drinks don%26#39;t have to be alcoholic, btw. Soft drinks count too. ;)
