Staying at Dream Hotel

Can I get some feedback on this hotel? BF chose it. Is it in a relatively central location? What attractions are nearby? We%26#39;re total tourists so we%26#39;ll be venturing all about the city, but I was just wondering what restaurants/sights are within walking distance from our hotel. (We%26#39;re marathoners, so long ';walks'; are our thing anyway.) Thanks!

First you%26#39;ve posted on New York forum not New York city. You%26#39;ll get more info from New York City.

The hotel is very centrally located but rooms are evidently very small.

Lots of reviews, very mixed here

Menupages.com is a good website for restaurants. Since the hotel is in the west 50s, pick that location and then type of food and go from there. Tons of choices including an outpost of Serafina, a good local pizza chain inside the hotel. You%26#39;re in spitting distance of Times Square and Central Park and the main shopping area on Fifth Ave. (and Rockefeller Center). The Time Warner building at Columbus Circle (sw corner of Central Park) has a big Whole Foods market inside if you%26#39;re looking for healthy and tastey food to eat in or take out. Also near your hotel is the famous Carnegie Deli. Some think the best pastrami in NYC.
