Where to go on New Year's Eve??

My BF and I (both late 20%26#39;s)are heading to NYC tomorrow and will be there until Jan 2. We are looking for somewhere fun to bring in the New Year. I also need suggestions on where we can enjoy a nice dinner before the festivities (moderately priced, but not a jean-wearing kind of place).

We are thinking about going to Times Sq. on NYE, anyone advise against that/in favor or it?? If not there, where else can we go to see fireworks/ball drop, etc. I want to experience all the excitement of bringing in the New Year in NYC. Please help!!

We have a really awesome deal for a couple of people. We bought four untra-VIP tickets to T New York for NYE. We are from Florida and wanted to party in the New Years right. The club called us up on Friday to say that we needed a minimum of six to get the Ultra-VIP table on the third floor. These tickets include no-wait to get into the club, waitress service, premium open bar from 9pm until 1am, bottle of grey goose, bottle of moet champagne, appetizers and hor d%26#39; horves, breakfast at 3am, no-wait to get cocktails. The tickets run $200-$225 I think. We have four tickets and they can set a table for up to 14. We need anywhere from 2 to 8 more people to get the deal. T New York just had their grand opening. They are located at 240 W 52nd Street right in TIme Square. It looks like a good deal and we don%26#39;t mind sharing a table. Hi Yellowgirl. Hope U and your BF can make it. I wouldn%26#39;t want to be standing out in the cold on NYE waiting for the ball to drop elbow to elbow with 300,000 people with nothing to drink and no restroom to use. THe other club deals I looked at were standing room only or had 6 person minimums to get a table. T New York is right at Times Square so you get the best of both worlds and $225 is not bad when you consider open premium bar and food included. Let us know if your coming.
